About Us

We address the human cost of insecurity and conflicts...

Africa’s humanitarian crisis has led to displacement, food insecurity, shortages in healthcare delivery and many interconnected challenges. But beyond the statistics, individual lives have been changed forever, in more ways than most people are aware.

We exist to address these challenges and support others in doing the same.

Vision

A world where people affected by insecurity and conflict
can rebuild their lives and communities in safety and
dignity.

Mission

To provide humanitarian assistance, promote peace and reconciliation, support community empowerment, advocate for human rights in communities affected by insecurity and conflict, and build the capacity of journalists and civic actors working in those communities through innovative practices.

How We Work

The human and professional trauma that insecurity, insurgency, terrorism and forced displacement have on the lives and work of journalists in Nigeria, for instance, and across the African regional space, is quite regularly overlooked.

We engage with and serve all community members, including women, youth, elderly people, people with disabilities, and members of ethnic and religious minorities. We are committed to centering the voices of the most vulnerable groups, protecting their dignity and safeguarding their rights.

Before we act, we consider the current situation and existing activities by the landscape of actors, and we carefully identify areas where we can add value. To achieve our goals, we acknowledge that we do not have all the answers and that our vision is so big that we need the to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
