HumAngle Foundation Hosts Multi-stakeholder Roundtable on Peacebuilding in Kaduna

As part of the Advancing Peace and Security through Journalism Project, supported by the National Endowment for Democracy, HumAngle Foundation hosted a one-day roundtable with local peace actors in Kaduna state on June 25th, 2025.

The activity was designed to deepen public understanding of local peacebuilding efforts in the state, amplify the work of community-based organisations through linkages with journalists, and encourage knowledge-exchange on innovative approaches to promoting peace.

In attendance were representatives from faith-based organisations, civil society organisations, journalists and government representatives. The session featured presentations from the Foundation’s Director, Angela Umoru-David and HumAngle Media’s Head of Radicalisation and Extremism Desk, Aliyu Dahiru Aliyu. Senior Programme Officer, Salma Jumah moderated discussions on the peacebuilding landscape in the state and illuminating recommendations based on the vast experiences of the attendees.
